Double Blessings: One Year Old!!!!!

Noah and Oliver are ONE YEAR OLD!

I always thought parents were being a little crazy when they
would exclaim about how quickly time passes with children, but now I really believe it! Little by little, in front of our very eyes, they transformed from small, helpless preemies and blossomed into beautiful, confident toddlers, excited about the world they live in and eager to learn more each day.

I could go on and on to describe how much they've changed, but I think the pictures say it all:

Amazing, isn't it? God was truly watching out for these boys!

Where they once struggled breathe, maintain their body temperature and tolerate minuscule amounts of breastmilk, they are now thriving.

Noah has learned to walk unassisted in the last month, and loves to eat (especially bananas and cheerios, and anything that comes in a yummy pouch!), and his physical and occupational therapists say he has almost outgrown them! He now weighs 21.5 lbs and is 29.75 in tall. Noah loves playing chase with his brother, pushing his tractor/sleigh around, and follows after the dog all day.

Oliver has really come a long way as well, and is now crusing (standing holding onto furniture and moving from place to place), climbing (on everything!) and is also eating like a pro. He weighs 16.75 lbs and is 27 in tall. He still breastfeeds at night, takes bottles the rest of the day, and can even drink out of a cup. His favorite foods are mangoes and pancakes, and he loves to play keep away (see last blog post for video).

Both boys are a constant delight to us and one another, and their sense of humor is hilarious!

To celebrate these amazing little guys, we invited our friends and family to Caper Acres this Saturday, and enjoyed playtime, pizza, cupcake, and presents. The boys loved their cupcakes (carrot cake, mmm!!) and also had a great time meeting some new relatives and playing with their new toys (thanks everyone!).
